At the Gala

It was the time for the Met Gala again. And the best dressed were...

 And the worst...

As you can see, I'm not a big fan of ruffles and cutouts in weird places (Beyonce's dress is also too tight). But I am a fan of nude / simple / colourful / long-sleeved / a bit sparkly dresses! Who was your favourite fashionista at the gala?

Love,
M

more from cannes...

There were many great dressers in Cannes, like the ladies in the previous post and here's a few more:

Diane Kruger

Doutzen Kroes

Evangeline Lilly

Hayden Panettieri

Penelope Cruz

Have a great weekend everyone! Tomorrow I'm off to Amsterdam, to meet up with some friends and party a little, should be fun... Don't know if I have time for vintage shopping, hopefully I can squeeze it in somewhere (my friend has planned everything, don't know if it includes shopping time haha).

What do you think of the new lay-out of the blog? I still need a new header, but lately I've been too lazy to do it... Im also seriously lacking inspiration for it. If someone wants they can send me some ideas! Take care my lovely readers and random visitors xx

red carpet

I think these ladies understood what the red carpet of Cannes is all about: old Hollywood glamour! My favourite is Eva Longoria Parker, I love the dress, its so dramatic!

About the Oscars...

I think this years Oscars were super boring red carpet-wise. Almost none of the dresses surprised or even moved me in any way. Many of the dresses lacked inspiration and also colour , and many of the stars had almost identical white/sequin dress (and even though I love sequins I don't love them that much).

However, some were better than the rest:

My absolute favourite, Natalie Portman in pink Rodarte dress
Marion Cotillard in Dior Penelope Cruz in vintage Balmain (bonus points for vintage) Marisa Tomei in Versace

Which couple shined more? my vote goes to Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer, I haven't seen Jennifer that happy in a long time! Angelina and Brad looked fabulous too, but I can't help but think that Angelina is cold and reserved... sorry!

I was more fascinated by the jewelery and accessories of the stars, but couln't find good pictures of them. Maybe next year will be more interesting!

Kate in YSL by Stefano Pilati

Oh and I want to say I'm so happy for Kate Winslet! She is so talented and beautiful, and one of my favourite actresses. She really deserved the Oscar. xx
