faded effect

I bought a new jacket from H&M. It's really short, mid-waist length, and lightweight and stretch material. I really like it, I needed something with attitude to my wardrobe, so I don't start looking like a hippie too much!

knits knits knits

Ok I know it's still summer and all but the closer the start of the schools come the more I start to think about the autumn wardrobe. And my absolute autumn favourites are knits, leather boots and dark jeans. And today I went to hm.com and these knits look so comfy and cute I want them all! (Click to enlarge).

Whats your autumn wardrobe favourite?

Oh and I totally recommend Aussie's 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor! It's the best conditioner I've ever had! I bought it today after using my roommate's and decided to buy my own bottle. I also bought few basic tees and a cute hairband with a bow, somehow this kind of stuff just jumps into my bag (of course paying them first) when I intend to visit the shops only to buy conditioner! Take care everyone x

new pieces

I bought some new pieces for my jewellery collection from a second hand shop yesterday. What do you think? I especially like the bronze coloured necklace, it will look great with a tan and a white top. But the other one is nice too, a bit heavier and adds more colour to an outfit.

I've been thinking of doing kind of 'what I wore today' type of post but I would have to take the photos myself... Any tips? Is it difficult? Take care lovelies!

bag inventory

When I moved I had to do a little inventory for my bags, because I just own so many. Because the apartment that I now share with my best friend has limited space, I had to narrow my collection down and leave major part of it in cardboard boxes at my parent's place. But, as a result of the inventory I wanted to show you dear bloggers my favourite bags that I use the most frequently:

Top 2 cluthches: first is a blue crocodile skin clutch from Australia, vintage from the 60's. I bought it from a tiny second-hand shop in the beautiful Blue Mountains. The second one is a lot newer, but still very dear to me because it has travelled with me to so many places, and yes its kinda worn down but I don't want to let it go!

The three bags are mainly my party bags, the one with the chain is from Mango, and the two clutches are vintage (beige is leather and from a second-hand shop in Finland, brown is snake skin and from a second-hand shop in Amsterdam). The two bags in the second picture are what I use almost daily, the smaller one is second-hand and I use it when I go shopping or for a coffee with friend, because it's so small and goes over the shoulder. The bigger white one I use when I go grocery shopping or to the beach because it can fit all the stuff in.

These too are probably from the eighties (the black one) and the seventies (the light brown one). I bought both of them from a recycling centre and they cost approx. one euro each! They are leather and gorgeous so quite a bargain, wasn't it?

So which bag do you like the most / the least? XX

autumn musings

Chloé and Phillip Lim had very different collections for a/w 2009: Chloé with its nude tones, white, 80's vibes and light fabrics; Phillip Lim with the dark but pretty and sparkly rock'n'roll look.

Chloé

3.1 Phillip Lim

I never thought I would say this, but I'm getting tired of the rock chick look, so I have to go for Chloé! I love the light fabrics, soft shapes and the earth tones! Which one do you prefer for this autumn?

after a long week...

Summer night in Finland - 10 p.m. and the sun hasn't set

It's been a while since my last post! But while I haven't posted a single thing, I have:

- Stuffed all my clothes and bags and shoes into two suitcases
- Moved all my stuff from Holland to Finland
- Unpacked all my clothes and bags and shoes (and made a huge mess)
- Enjoyed the summer night with my best friends and emptied few wine bottles while talking (see the picture above)
- Swam in a lake (the water was cold!)
- Sunbathed in the garden listening to indie rock
- Driven my car after a year
- Made amazing finds in the warehouse where all my old stuff is stored at, like a plastic bag full of bangles, necklaces and earrings
- Eaten dinner together with my extended family
- Found a new apartment from a lovely old building
- Eaten strawberries with milk and sugar

More posts coming soon...! Enjoy the summer everyone! xx

sparkling ladies

Jennifer Aniston

Heidi Klum

It seems that this sparkly silver material (that some call tinfoil) is now in the favour of celebrities... I like it, especially the dress Jen wore few days back, but what do you think?

And I'd like to thank the lovely ladies of Fashion Architect and Clothes Horse, because they both had giveaways and I won! Two times! I think I have to fill in a lottery ticket this week...

diva

Dear bloggers, gues where I'm going today? Well, my friends are taking me to a hip hop event! I'm not a hip hop girl so I'm really curious how it's gonna be...Which reminds me that Beyonce has had nice outfits lately, here's three that I like:

I like the dress, jacket and sunnies, the whole thing!

Currently I'm in love with jumpsuits...

The jacket is so cool!

Ok now I have to get going! I promise that in a week I'll be posting more regularly, right now I have to get the final assignments for school done and also pack all my stuff and get it back home (Finland) somehow... But soon I'lle be a better blogger! Enjoy your weekend! xx

boyfriend not required

Although I don't have a boyfriend, I love the 'boyfriend look'. In this month's Glamour there was an editorial of the subject, and I wanted to share it with you guys, if you haven't already seen it. I think the bf look is so great; in day to day life I prefer comfy and not too tight and revealing clothes, and it is perfect for those laid back days of school, sitting in a cafe or just doing nothing (one of my favourite hobbies)...

Oversized, slouchy tees and knits

The jacket with an attitude, and layering, low key indeed... so cool.... and so comfy!

I like the 'classic men's shirt', but I like the rolled up pants with high heels too!

It seems that the essence of the bf style right now is the blazer! Here the pink colour makes it cute

I love the shorts and the jacket combo, I bought these kind of shorts last weekend, definitely have to try this look!

It's been a tough week this one, I hope the next one is better. Soon (in 2 weeks) I'm moving back to Finland, I so look forward to it! It's so good to go back home after a year in the Netherlands. It's been great but all things come to an end and now it is the time to move forward and towards new adventures and challences...

Oh and does anyone know how to get the pictures to appear bigger? And how to attach video, from Youtube for example? I would appreciate any kind of advice! I'm so bad with computers and Blogger and that kind of stuff haha... Have a great week everyone xx
